@ Home – A Complete Guide To Homestays In India
This one has been long in the making. One of my earlier assignments for Times Group Books, it took over two years to see fruition. In a way, I’m glad for that. Because the discerning demographic that endorses more relaxed encounters on the road has shaped itself into a force to reckon with since. For one, that translates into great sales. But more importantly, @Home brings together some of the best home stay options dotting Indian states.
One of six contributors, I am quite chuffed that most of my personally experienced recommendations (Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarkhand) have found their way into this descriptive directory. By no means is this an exhaustive work as very many equals continue to introduce themselves ever so often. Still, this is a one-of-its-kind guide and you really don’t want to waste time grabbing a copy. Travel season is opening up real soon!
This sounds like a delightful read, and a useful one for wannabe travellers like me. Ordered the book right away!
I might update you that at Amazon, the author is given as one Puneetinder Kaur Sidhu. Presumably then, the book is her handiwork more than the other contributors you mention of 🙂
Modesty?
That’s wonderful – it’s money well spent!
And no, that must be an oversight by Amazon Rajnish, because we’re all equal contributors. Regional specialists, if you will 🙂
Congratulations. Well timed with your birthday. Hope to grab a copy soon. All the best.
Thanks Bharatt – believe you will make good use of it.
Congratulations!!!
Thanks 🙂
🙂 Congrats.
Thanks Subi.
Just bought the book :). Completely in sync with our business as well… superstuff
Thanks Harsh! Hope you’ll be able to put it to good use.
This book came out well, only problem with a book that takes long is that things change by the time it is printed – this happened with a couple of places in the chapters I wrote for @Home.
Yes, this one took particularly long.
